Changes in 2023 | Workers

As of 2023 there will changes in - for example – the Collective Labor Agreement (CLA) for temporary workers. We briefly highlight the most important changes so that you get an impression of what will change in the upcoming year.

 

Legal minimum wage

As of January 1, the legal minimum wage will be increased by 10.15%. With this, the government is following the advice of the Central Planning Bureau (CPB) to implement structural income-enhancing policies to improve the financial circumstances of employees with the lowest incomes.

Changes to the Collective Labor Agreement (CLA) for temporary workers
The following changes were already agreed in 2021 and will take place on January 1, 2023:

  • For everyone in Phase A, a maximum period of 52 worked weeks will apply.
  • If the employee has already worked 52 weeks on January 2, 2023, the employee starts in Phase B immediately on January 2, 2023.
  • If the employee has already been in Phase B for three years on January 2, 2023, the employment must be continued in Phase C as of January 2, 2023.

 

Pension

StiPP pension will be adjusted. From 2023, pension accrual will start earlier and faster for employees who are newly employed.
